Police are investigating an alleged abduction after an Auckland man was held against his will and robbed in a three-hour ordeal yesterday.
Thomas Battersby was last night resting at home after he said he was kidnapped when he left an inner-city club at around 5.30am and driven around Auckland for three hours. At least four men then allegedly took his money and bank cards before dumping him at the BP petrol station on Fanshawe St.
Detective Sergeant Uraia Vakaruru said Battersby had willingly entered the blue Nissan with the men after meeting them at a K' Rd bar. The men then robbed Battersby and let him go
