Police are looking for public help to find a knife, shoes and a mobile phone believed to have been thrown from the car of homicide victim Jiayi Li.
The body of Ms Li, 18, also known as Kiko, was found in the boot of her red Toyota Altezza in Hamilton on June 1. She was last seen alive in the Auckland suburb of Kingsland on May 19.
Two men have been charged with murdering her, with a third charged with being an accessory after the fact to her murder.
Police believed the items they were looking for were thrown out of her car in the early hours of May 19 by her killers, somewhere in west Auckland.
The knife was described as a Wiltshire brand parer, a utility or cook's knife, with a triple rivet black handle.
The mobile phone was a green-blue LG brand KF350 flip top, and the shoes flat white or silver pumps.
Police also wanted to hear from anyone who saw the red Altezza, with a Lexus insignia, which was believed to have been parked near downtown Auckland between May 19 and May 25.
Yongxin Li, 18, and Honglin Yu, 20, are jointly charged with murdering Miss Li, aggravated robbery involving a knife, her eftpos card and her car, and attempting to use her eftpos card at Mt Albert and in Tamaki Drive, in east Auckland.
The third accused, a 19-year-old has interim name suppression.
All three will reappear in Auckland District Court this month.
