KEY POINTS:
A stolen car used in an armed robbery of an Auckland bank yesterday has been located nearby, police said today.
Two heavily disguised men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash at the ASB branch in Three Kings Plaza on Mt Albert Rd just before noon.
They left in a black and silver Subaru Forester, registration EJP105, which was parked outside the bank entrance.
The car sped out of the car park on to Henshaw Rd.
Detective Sergeant Jason McIntosh said the vehicle was located last night a short distance away in a driveway in McCullough Ave.
He said there was no connection between that property and the robbery, and the two robbers were still being sought.
During the robbery, one of the offenders presented a firearm at bank tellers, while the other took a quantity of cash.
