Police are investigating a burglary at a commercial address on Whangarei’s Paramount Parade overnight.
The Advocate understands Countdown Tikipunga was burgled. Despite reports on social media that the store had been the subject of a ram raid, police confirmed this was not the case.
Police said an unknown number of offenders broke in about 1am, took items and fled in a vehicle.
No arrests have yet been made, but inquiries - including reviewing CCTV footage - are under way.
