Police in Dunedin are investigating a reported sex attack on a woman student near the university early today.
The 18-year-old Otago University student told police two men dragged her into bushes as she walked home along Castle St and sexually assaulted her just before 2am.
Senior Sergeant Brian Benn, of Dunedin police, said the woman was undergoing a medical examination this morning after the incident in the university campus area of north Dunedin.
The woman had been walking home from a hotel.
"The offenders were described as clad in dark clothing," he said.
Police were seeking witnesses to any suspicious activity in Castle St between midnight and 2am.
