A man is in Southland Hospital with a gunshot wound following an incident on Sunday.
Invercargill Police were investigating the incident, which was believed to have occurred in the Invercargill area sometime around 7pm.
The man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Police asked anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident or who may have heard a sound believed to be a firearm around this time to get in touch.
