Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found in a sleepout in south Auckland this morning.
The death of the Manurewa man aged about 55, was reported by one of his flatmates about 10am, police said.
"Police received a phone call reporting that a man had been found dead at 217 Great South Road. The phone call was made by one of the deceased's flatmates, who too lives at the property,'' Detective Inspector Jim Gallagher said.
The man's body, found in a sleepout behind a house, showed evidence of injury and there would be a post-mortem examination this afternoon.
