Police are expecting the results of a post-mortem examination to tell them precisely what killed a 24-year-old woman, who was found dead in West Auckland.
The body was discovered when officers responded to a call to Woodside Road in Massey about 1.30 yesterday morning, after what is understood to have been a domestic dispute.
A 19-year-old woman is in custody after appearing in court on assault charges.
Detective Senior Sergeant Stan Brown says the job today includes talking to other people who were in the house.
He says it could be days before police are able to confirm the victim's identity.
