Police investigating the "violent" killing of a woman in suburban Wellington are focusing some of their inquiries on a taxi seen parked a short distance from the woman's home.
A 38-year-old was found dead by police shortly after 1am today in her Newlands home.
Police also found a 46-year-old man suffering from minor injuries at the property. He was admitted to hospital, but has since been discharged and was speaking with police, Detective Senior Sergeant Tim Leitch of Wellington CIB told a press conference today.
"He's at this stage not been formally charged but we are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident."
