Police are investigating a spate of unauthorised bank withdrawals in the South Island.
Westport Police said four people have reported having money withdrawn from their accounts in the last week - despite not losing their cards or having them stolen.
It appeared the offender has fraudulently obtained card details to steal the money from an ATM, police said.
Police are urging anyone who has used a Westport ATM this week to check their account for discrepancies. All banks in the area have been notified.
The alleged offender has been caught on CCTV footage wearing an orange hi-visibility jacket and dark sunglasses, police said.
