Police are investigating after a body was found at a rural Bay of Plenty property this afternoon.
Sergeant Steve Hindmarsh, of Tauranga police, said they were notified of the body near Te Puke, east of Tauranga, after 4pm but it was too early to tell if the death was suspicious.
"We are attending at the moment and at this point we can't say whether it was suspicious or not as we have no details," he told NZPA.
