KEY POINTS:
Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found outside his Nelson home this morning.
Detective Sergeant Mark Kaveney said the body of a middle-aged man was found in Nile Street at 10am.
The death is being treated as suspicious at this stage, due to injuries on the body, Mr Kaveney said.
The address has been sealed and guarded. A forensic examination of the property is expected to take several days.
A post mortem will be carried out on the man's body on Tuesday.
Details of the man's identity will not be released until formal identification has taken place and next of kin have been informed.
