Police have launched an investigation into the death of an elderly rest home resident in Hamilton tonight.
They were refusing to give details tonight but said a scene examination was under way just before 9pm. It is understood the resident is 81 and died on a ward at the home - which has not been named.
"Police are working through the circumstances of the death at the present time and will be releasing further information on it once the scene examination is completed,'' a spokesperson said.
