Police are investigating a fire in a south Auckland house which killed an elderly man.
Emergency services were called to the fire on Lomas Place, Manurewa, at about 7am, police said.
Further investigation revealed that a person was in the house, and a 77-year-old man was found dead inside.
Police and a fire safety officer are investigating.
