Police have cordoned off a south Auckland property after the body of a man was discovered there earlier today.
A forensic examination of the house in Papatoetoe was underway tonight - but police were saying little about what they have found inside.
Inspector Jason Hewett, area commander Counties Manukau West, confirmed a man's body was found inside the house and police were trying to determine how he died. He could not say how old the man was.
The death was being treated as unexplained until the cause of death was known, he said.
