A senior police officer has returned to work after being stood down over allegations he verbally harassed several staff.
Star.kiwi has learned Inspector Paul Fremaux has been cleared of the allegations, and is working in the police communications centre.
He was stood down early last year while an employment investigation was underway over the claims.
He is now working in a different role than before being stood down.
Christchurch metro area commander Superintendent Lane Todd confirmed an employment investigation had concluded, and Inspector Fremaux remained with the police.
