At 4.35pm, NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said the lefthand southbound lane had now reopened after initially closing at 4pm.
“Allow extra time as delays as delays.”
Google Maps traffic shows southbound traffic has backed up from the Harbour Bridge to past the Northcote Rd off-ramp.
A crash is blocking the northbound lane on the Northern Motorway northbound lane between Oteha Valley Rd and Silverdale, just north of Wilks Rd overbridge.
Drivers should pass with care and expect delays, NZTA said.
Meanwhile, a breakdown blocking the middle lane northbound in the SH1 Victoria Park Tunnel has now been cleared.
“Expect residual northbound delays to ease,” NZTA warned.
Also, the right northbound lane on SH1 between Constellation Dr and Greville Rd has been reopened following a multi-vehicle crash.
“Pass with care and expect delays until cleared,” NZTA said.

The quake struck near Seddon about 5.39pm.
