Police have identified the 64-year-old man who was found dead in a Christchurch house on Sunday - but will not release his name until his family has been informed.
Canterbury police said today the investigation into his death was continuing.
The man was found at a residential address in Linwood shortly before 12pm yesterday. His death was being treated as suspicious.
A post-mortem examination has been conducted but police would not comment on the results of the examination.
Detective Inspector Tony Hill said the man had been identified but his next-of-kin were still being located to be informed.
