Police are hunting a male robber who held up an Upper Hutt bank yesterday.
He walked into the Westpac Bank on Main Street at 2.50pm and handed the teller a note demanding money.
He was last seen walking north along Main Street towards McDonald's.
Police described the man as Caucasian or light-skinned Maori and in his late 20s or mid 30s.
He was slim to medium build and had fine facial features and a long nose, he possibly had a black moustache.
He used several items of clothing to cover his head - a dark scarf over his mouth and a black beanie worn under a hooded khaki jacket, similar to Swanndri clothing.
He was wearing tidy blue jeans.
