Police hunt three men after car taken at gunpoint

Police are hunting three men after they threatened a man in his home in the south Auckland suburb of Manurewa early today and took his car.

The occupant called police shortly after 5am and said one was in his house demanding the keys to his car.

He was marched to his car at gunpoint and three men took off in the vehicle.

Police said they urgently needed sightings of the car, a 1994 dark blue Honda Accord with the registration number BHR245.

The car had chrome wheels and a large muffler.

Police said if the car was sighted it should not be approached because the three men were dangerous.
