Police hunt motorcyclist clocked at 200km/h

Kapiti Coast police are on the lookout for a motorcyclist clocked driving more than 200km/h along State Highway 1 today.

The motorcycle was clocked by police travelling 212km/h at Manakau, 12km south west of Levin, about 9.30am, Central Districts police spokeswoman Kim Perks told NZPA.

The rider was travelling south towards Otaki, but did not travel through the town, Ms Perks said.

Police did not attempt to stop the motorcycle, but were now looking for it and the rider.
