Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman outside her Dunedin home early today.
Senior Sergeant Brain Benn told NZPA the woman had parked her car outside her suburban St Clair house and was walking across the street about 1am today when a man approached her and pushed her to the ground.
The woman's screams alerted the neighbours who shouted at the attacker who ran off. The woman escaped injury.
The attacker was described as Caucasian, 170cm tall, of thin build, with dark short hair, bushy eyebrows and cleanshaven.
He wore a dark navy v-neck top with a stripe on the sleeve and jeans.
Police said they would like to hear from anyone who might have seen the man in the area.
