Rotorua police are still searching for a 10-year-old girl who has been in hiding with her mother for more than three months.
Ten-year-old Esther Wolthers ran away from Child Youth and Family (CYF) care on July 23 and has not been seen since.
Police are still searching for Esther and there is a warrant for the arrest of her mother, Marianne Wolthers, who failed to turn up to the High Court at Rotorua in August after being ordered to reveal her daughter's whereabouts.
Detective Sergeant Arthur McLean said police had not had any contact with her family.
CYF is working with Rotorua police to find Esther and ensure her safety.
The department's regional director, Geoff Williams, said if anyone had information about where Esther was they should contact police.
