Police are on the lookout for a group of attackers, after a serious assault left two women and a man requiring hospital treatment.
The victims were approached by two men and three women on Lincoln Rd in Christchurch early last Saturday, with one of the alleged male attackers kicking the male victim in the head.
Members of the public intervened, and the alleged assailants left in a silver Toyota Hi-Ace van. One of the victims needed surgery following the incident.
The assault, which Constable Patti Brown describes as "unprovoked'', happened outside a Domino's Pizza outlet near The Bedrock Bar at around 12.15am.
