Police are warning people not to approach a man being linked to a stabbing which left another person critically ill.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner said a 19-year-old male fled a Welcome Bay address after twice stabbing a 36-year-old man during a "domestic-related" altercation.
The younger man had chased the victim from a house and out on to the footpath, where he stabbed him in theback and abdomen with a large kitchen knife. The attacker then left the street in a silver coloured 1997 Volkswagen Passat saloon, registration number ASK 641.
Mr Turner said members of the public should not approach the vehicle or its driver, and should instead immediately contact police.
