Police in north Auckland are hunting a pair of armed robbers following a spate of holdups in the Helensville region at the weekend.
Detective Neil Hilton from the Helensville police said on each occasion a weapon was presented at shop owners or attendants.
One of the alleged offenders was described as a male European aged about 20, of medium height and slim to medium build. His accomplice was estimated to be about 18 and had a shorter and slimmer build.
Mr Hilton said there was concern someone could be seriously injured if the offending continued, and urged anyone with information about the pair to contact police.
