Police are hunting a man armed with a knife who threatened a woman service station attendant during a robbery in Invercargill today.
Senior Sergeant Olaf Jensen said the armed man confronted the lone female attendant at the BP Dundee Service Station at around 7am and demanded cash.
The attendant handed over cash and cigarettes and the man left on foot.
Mr Jensen said the man was described as 25-years-old, possibly Caucasian, 180cm tall, wearing a dark hooded sweat top, blue jeans, dark coloured shoes, sunglasses and a tan coloured bandana. He was carrying a black plastic bag.
The attendant was uninjured.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
