Police are still working through possible sightings of a vehicle that might have been involved in the disappearance of missing Kapiti Coast man Raymond 'Son' Piper.
The search for Mr Piper, 23, has spread to Wanganui, nearly four weeks after he was last seen leaving the house of his partner and son in Eatwell Ave, Paraparaumu, on Saturday, May 15.
They hold "grave fears" for his safety.
Police released new information on Thursday that Mr Piper was seen travelling in a dark green Mazda Marvie and it could have travelled as far as Wanganui.
The appeal prompted nearly 50 calls to the police information line, which officers are still working through.
Inquiry head Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam told NZPA a fair proportion of the calls were from psychics, and some were possible sightings.
"We've prioritised them, but they take a bit of work to develop through whether or not they are positive."
On Thursday, police cordoned off a Paraparaumu service station as "a place of interest" in the case, and removed some items as part of the investigation, Mr Oxnam said.
He wouldn't comment further.
