Police guard dies in Wellington carpark

The sudden death of a 58-year-old man in a Wellington car park this afternoon is not believed to be suspicious say police.

The police employee who worked as a guard at Government House died prior to exiting the carpark in Thorndon just after 5pm.

Police said the death would be referred to the coroner.

His name would not be released until all next of kin had been advised.
