The Wellington woman reported missing on Saturday has been found in a bushy area on top of a hill.
Elisabeth Loughran, 68, was found on a hill in the suburb of Plimmerton, less than 24 hours after she was first reported missing on Saturday evening.
She was last seen by family at the Plimmerton Boating Club at 5pm yesterday evening.
This evening she was airlifted to hospital for a medical check-up.
Police have issued their thanks to everyone who helped the search and rescue efforts and said all were "delighted and relieved" she had been found safe.
Search and Rescue New Zealand coordinated the search efforts and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also involved.
