Three men arrested for being illegally in New Zealand for more than three years have been remanded in custody after appearing in the Rotorua District Court on Wednesday.
Judge Chris McGuire remanded them in custody so documents for their return to China could be arranged, which could take 28 days.
The men will reappear in court next Wednesday.
Immigration documents show Shen's work permit expired in March 2001 and Han's in May 1999.
Li allegedly jumped ship in Wellington in December 1999.
