A high-risk sex offender has been found by police after allegedly breaching his release conditions.
Police said Darren Jolly was found on State Highway 1 near Pegasus, north of Christchurch, late last night.
Tasman police asked for the public's help to catch the 51-year-old, whom they warned should not be approached.
Police today thanked the public for their help after he was found in Canterbury at 11.35pm.
