Police find owner of abandoned bike in Manawatu-Wanganui

Police are looking to identify the owner of a bike and helmet found abandoned on Hawkestone Road, Marton.

Police have found the owner of a bicycle and helmet found abandoned in Manawatu-Wanganui overnight.

In the early hours of the morning police received reports of a person lying on the side of Hawkestone Rd in Marton.

This hat was found at the scene.

When police arrived they found only a bicycle and helmet. They would like to find the owner of the bike and helmet to ensure they are safe.

Police found the owner of the bike on Sunday, and said the owner will be seeking medical attention.
