Police have confirmed a body pulled out of the Waikato River near Mercer is that of a Korean woman whose car crashed nearly two months ago.
Eunki Kim, 40, had been missing since her car collided with Pukete Bridge and plunged 18 metres into the Waikato River on June 6.
Auckland police staff recovered the body of a woman from the river near Mercer on July 23.
Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton said forensic analysis had confirmed the body was Mrs Kim.
She was last seen by a witness struggling in the river near her car on the day of the crash.
