Police are searching for a man involved in an incident in Te Kuiti that resulted in several road closures and an Armed Defenders Squad callout.
Residents were asked to avoid the Duke St area as police investigated what was originally reported as a family harm incident in the small Waikato town.
Police were initially called to the incident around 1.45pm, and the cordons that were set then have since been lifted.
However, police are still executing search warrants in the area, looking for the person responsible for the family harm incident.
