Armed police sealed off an inner-city street in Auckland last night.
Police cordoned off Bright Street in Eden Terrace to search a house for drugs.
Detective Sergeant Geoff Baber said police had information that drugs were being sold from the house.
One person has been arrested on a drugs charge, Mr Baber said.
"We went in and found some drugs but it wasn't the big job that we thought it was going to be - there were only bits and pieces," Mr Baber said.
He said the armed offenders squad and a clan lab team were at the house but the operation was scaled down.
