KEY POINTS:
Police are continuing to search for a missing West Auckland woman, with dogs being used to search specific areas of bushland.
Belinda Michelle Wilson, 39, a beneficiary of Titirangi, who has a history of minor mental health issues, has been missing since January 2, from her Mahoe Street home.
Yesterday more than 30 police, Air Force personnel and civilians were involved, along with police dogs at Titirangi Beach.
Detective Sergeant Roger Small told NZPA today the extensive search of the bushland was completed yesterday.
Police today would focus on canvassing Titirangi and New Lynn in an attempt to get any information from the public.
Dogs would be used today to search specific areas of bush which were of interest, he said.
Police have said they were becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.
Ms Wilson was last seen walking from her home to a dairy in Scenic Road, Titirangi.
She was in the shop about 10.15am and made two purchases and has not been seen since.
Ms Wilson's mother reported her missing on January 4.
Police are investigating several sightings of a woman including one on Friday at the Super Value Supermarket in Titirangi.
Ms Wilson's minor mental health issues could be a factor in her unexplained disappearance, police said.
She has not contacted her mother or other relatives in the past six days and her bank account has not been touched.
Police were keeping an open mind about her disappearance.
Ms Wilson is described as 1.77m tall, medium to solid build, with a pale complexion but with heavy makeup. She has shoulder length brown hair.
It is not known what clothing she was wearing but Ms Wilson was recently seen wearing a long black dress with a half metre rip in the back.
She regularly wears a wide rimmed sun visor and always has a black trundler carry bag on wheels with her.
Anyone with information should contact police on 09 839 0663.
