Police will continue their search today for a missing 73-year-old man last seen in south Auckland on Friday.
Stefan Jensen, who is in good health but suffers from mild dementia, was staying with family at a rural property and was last seen on Geraghty Rd in Pukekawa, at about 2.15pm on Friday.
His family have said he had connections in Queen Street and may have headed towards Auckland city.
Sergeant Jeff Waldron from Pukekohe Police said search teams would resume looking for him today.
Police have also door knocked the area and no one had seen Mr Jensen.
"We would appreciate any information from the public as there have been no sightings of him so far," Mr Waldron said.
Mr Jensen's family started to look for him immediately on Friday and reported him missing to police a couple of hours later.
He left on foot without only basic clothing and footwear and police are concerned because of bad weather and his dementia.
He is unfamiliar with the area.
Mr Jensen was wearing a navy coloured turtle neck jersey with a black and grey pattern on the front, navy trousers and black shoes. He is about 1.78m tall, medium build, broad shouldered, and bald with a grey moustache.
