KEY POINTS:
Police have asked for another two weeks to consider a homicide charge against a Christchurch woman who is charged with manufacturing heroin.
Defence counsel David Ruth said the woman's husband, who took the heroin, subsequently died, Christchurch's Court News website reported.
Kimberley Anne Campbell, 27, who lives in central Christchurch, has entered no plea to the charge of manufacturing the class A drug on June 26.
She was remanded to today for the police to consider the possible homicide charge.
But when the case was called in Christchurch District Court before Judge Stephen Erber, police prosecutor Trudi Aickin said inquiries were still being conducted.
She asked for a further two week remand to September 23, which Judge Erber granted.
Campbell is on bail on this charge.
