KEY POINTS:
Police say charges could be laid over the death of a woman in a crash between a van and a bus in Milford Sound.
A 28-year-old man was driving a van on the Milford Sound Highway yesterday afternoon, when he crossed the centre line. He lost control of the van, it spun 180 degrees and hit a tourist bus. The man's 31-year-old fiance died at the scene. He is in a serious but stable condition in Dunedin Hospital.
Constable Glen Matheson says no one on the bus was injured. He says police will decide whether or not to charge the man with dangerous driving causing death, once their investigations are complete.
