Wellington police are looking for a 43-year-old Paraparaumu man and say they are concerned for his safety.
Christopher James Saunders was seen leaving his home about 6am this morning.
He was believed to be catching the train to work in Wellington city, but police said it was unclear whether he did so and were making inquiries.
He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, a green or blue shirt, navy blue trousers, and black work boots.
Police described Saunders as being 178cm (5'10) tall, of slim build, with short dishevelled hair and a short beard.
