The well-being of a teenage boy who has been missing for two days is causing concern, Tauranga police said today.
Jordan Thomas Hall, 15, has not been seen since being dropped off by his mother at the Tauranga YMCA at 8.40am on Saturday.
Senior Sergeant Rob Glencross said police were keen to locate Jordan because of recent personal events.
"There are some matters in his background that are just causing us some concern for his well-being," he said.
"That's why we're very keen to find him."
Mr Glencross declined to elaborate, but said there was no suggestion anyone else was involved in the disappearance.
Jordan was described as Caucasian, of thin build and about 1.70m tall.
He was wearing black jeans, a black tee shift with "I'm McLovin" stencilled on the front, and a checked sweatshirt with a black hood.
Anyone with information about Jordan's whereabouts was asked to call Tauranga police.
