Kawau Island residents have been asked to be on the look out for a missing man.
Michael Barney, 46, was last seen at Sandspit, near Warkworth yesterday afternoon (Tue).
Police have concerns for his welfare due to his mental health background.
The launch he is believed to have been on was found at Vivian Bay on Kawau Island last night.
Search and Rescue personnel failed to find Mr Barney last night and are continuing their search with the Police Maritime Unit today.
