Hutt Valley police have finished their search at a property where a people were seen with firearms yesterday.
They have spoken to one person who lives at the property and another will be interviewed later today.

"At no time was a firearm presented at anyone," said Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett.
"We are following leads in relation to the case and have reason to believe that this was not a random unprovoked incident.
"I am unable to release further details at this time while our enquiries are ongoing, but ask that anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area since the event yesterday or has any information that they feel may be beneficial to our enquiries to contact the Hutt Valley CIB."
A stolen vehicle was found at the scene and will be examined today.
