KEY POINTS:
Police are investigating a possible sighting of a missing Warkworth teenager suspected of drowning.
Seventeen-year-old farm hand Luke Mason was thought to have fallen into the Mahurangi River which flows through the town after his bike was found near the river by friends in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police said yesterday a witness travelling south on State Highway 1 had reported seeing someone resembling Mr Mason on the highway around 8pm.
Mr Mason is a European, 1.75m tall with brown hair which he regularly wears tied at the back.
