Three people are being interviewed by police after a stolen car was chased through several south Auckland suburbs today.
Police said the car was stolen from a house during a burglary shortly before midday in the suburb of Glen Innes.
It was pursued by police along the southern motorway and through the suburbs of Glen Innes, Otahuhu, Manukau and Takanini.
Police said road spikes were deployed and deflated three of the car's tyres. When it stopped for a train with three flat tyres, the police helicopter Eagle was overhead and police cars were behind it and the occupants surrendered, said police.
No property or vehicles were damaged during the pursuit.
Police said charges were likely to be laid.
