Police say the disappearance of pregnant Auckland woman Rae Portman is now being treated as a homicide.
Detective Inspector Mark Gutry of the Counties Manukau Police said the elevation to a homicide was based on information given to the police from the public.
"The public are encouraged to continue contacting police with any information they have, no matter how trivial they believe it is," said Mr Gutry.
Ms Portman, 33, - who has the nickname 'Bok' - has not been seen since she left a Mt Albert motel on June 20.
Police found her car about two weeks after she was reported missing. She bought it in early June.
