Police arrested several people after a late night gathering spilled disorderly and violent party-goers on to a Masterton street early yesterday.
Acting sergeant Kerry Fitzgerald said officers made up to three arrests after multiple reports were fielded about the behaviour of some party-goers at a Montgomery Place home about 2.30am yesterday.
A Masterton man, 23, was arrested at the scene and held in custody in relation to the incident and was to appear in Masterton District Court today on disorderly behaviour charges.
He said police had later yesterday interviewed party-goers about reports of violence at the scene and an alleged assault.
"We took calls from neighbours about either the 23-year-old male's behaviour or the behaviour of several males. There was violence and we're investigating what happened in the house and in the street."
