Police have arrested three people in relation to an elderly man being tied up, assaulted and robbed tonight in Auckland.
The offenders assaulted the 80-year-old in his Wellsford home on School Road around 6.45pm and made away with two of his cars, a police spokesman said.
He said police had recovered both vehicles with assistance from the eagle helicopter and had arrested three people.
The victim has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
