KEY POINTS:
A 20-year-old west Auckland man has been arrested over a string of sexual attacks in the St Johns-Meadowbank area over the past 6 months.
He faces four counts of indecent assault and three indecent acts and has appeared in the Auckland District Court.
The charges arose out of complaints from a number women alleging they had been molested as they walked or jogged in the area.
Police would like to hear from any other women in the St Johns area who were assaulted while out exercising.
"Police are pleased to have apprehended this man, as there was a real concern the offending could have escalated," Detective Sergeant Grant Tetzlaff of Mt Wellington CIB says.
"Police would like to thank the members of the public who came forward with information to assist the investigation team."
The man was remanded in custody until the 15th of September when a bail hearing is set.
Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the alleged offending.
